Rediscover the charm of traditional comforters with our generously fluffy and cozy duck down comforters. To place on your bed for enveloping warmth and a touch of elegance, they combine natural comfort, beautiful materials and careful finishes.

Why choose a natural down comforter?

A true symbol of traditional comfort, theduck down comforter returns to our rooms to bring warmth, softness and elegance. With its generous filling and its characteristic loft, it transforms your bed into a real cocoon of softness.

Unlike a classic duvet which covers the entire bed and falls on the sides, the duvet is placed on top of the bed, generally over a duvet or a Blanket. It thus provides additional warmth during cold nights, while creating a particularly warm decorative effect.

Duck down has excellent insulating qualities thanks to its natural ability to trap air. Combined with an organic cotton casing , it offers cozy and breathable comfort, particularly appreciated by people who are cold.

What size duvet should you choose for your bed?

To choose the right dimensions, you must take into account the width of your bed. Unlike a traditional duvet, a traditional duvet is designed to stay on the top of the mattress, without falling on the sides.

At Label Naturel, our duvets are available in several sizes to suit all beds:

  • 90 × 150 cm : for a single bed of 90 cm wide.
  • 140 × 160 cm : for a standard double bed of 140 cm.
  • 160 × 170 cm : for a Queen Size bed of 160 cm.
  • 180 × 170 cm : for a King Size bed of 180 cm.
  • 200 × 170 cm : for a large bed 200 cm wide.

To dress your quilt and protect it on a daily basis, also discover our collection of duvet covers, made in beautiful natural materials and available in different colors elegant.

Why choose a down duvet Label Naturel ?

At Label Naturel, we favor the quality of natural materials, the care of finishes and sleeping comfort. Our comforters are made with new duck down and organic cotton covers, selected for their softness and resistance.

We also pay particular attention to certifications. Our Islande eiderdown benefits from RDS-certified down, which notably regulates animal welfare and the traceability of the material, as well as cotton casing certified organic GOTS. Both models have OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100, certification attesting to controls relating to harmful substances.

Our selection allows you to choose between a very airy and plump duvet or a French model with a denser filling . Our team remains available to advise you in choosing the dimensions and comfort suited to your Bedding.

How to maintain a natural down comforter?

To preserve the loft and quality of your comforter, we recommend that you air it regularly and shake it gently in order to redistribute its filling.

The instructions for care instructions vary depending on the models. The Islande duvet is machine washable at 40°C maximum, without tumble drying. On the other hand, French duck down comforter requires dry cleaning only.

Using a suitable comforter cover also helps protect the fabric and limits the frequency of cleaning. With careful care and compliance with the instructions on the label, your quilt will maintain its comfort and beautiful fluffiness for a long time.

Down comforter
Why have a comforter?

• For its swelling character

The main advantage of a comforter is undoubtedly its loft. This exceptional loft is due to its down filling. This natural material does not settle and returns to its place only by shaking it.

• For its thermoregulation

One of the other advantages of the eiderdown is that it has very effective thermoregulatory properties. Its filling naturally protects against freshness and humidity.

How to use a down comforter?

A down comforter is generally placed over the duvet or the Blanket, on the lower part of the bed, to provide additional warmth during cold nights. Shorter than a traditional duvet , it can also be used to cover yourself when resting. During the day, its generous volume makes it a beautiful decorative accessory that brings volume and a warm touch to your room. To protect it, we advise you to use a suitable duvet cover .

How to choose a comforter?

• Depending on its size

In order to choose your comforter correctly, it is necessary to take into account the dimensions of your bed. Once this step has been completed, nothing could be simpler: your quilt must not exceed the edges of your bed in either length or width.

Why have a comforter Label Naturel ?

• We respect animal welfare

Our down comforters are RDS (Responsible Down Standard) certified. That is to say, the latter guarantees the protection of geese and ducks raised for the production of textiles with down. The down in our comforters therefore comes from ducks and geese who have led a healthy life, without stress or suffering and who have not been force-fed. Only products containing 100% RDS labeled fibers can carry this label, which is therefore the case for our comforters.

• A labeled cotton envelope Oeko-Tex

The cover of our down comforters is made from cotton which gives our duvets a soft touch and a silky appearance. In addition, cotton being labeled Oeko-Tex, it poses no danger to your health and your skin is protected. Finally, the cotton provides a perfect seal and prevents the filling from coming out.

Can we sleep only under a down comforter?

Yes, a down comforter can be used alone if the temperature of the room and its dimensions allow it. However, unlike a classic duvet , it does not fall over the sides of the bed. It is therefore particularly appreciated in addition to a duvet or a Blanket to provide additional warmth during cold nights.

Is a down comforter suitable for people who feel hot at night?

Our duck down comforters are particularly warm and are primarily intended for people who are cold or have poorly heated rooms. Thanks to their natural filling , they offer enveloping warmth and soft comfort. If you are very sensitive to heat or sweat easily at night, a light duvet will generally be more suitable.

Is it normal for a down comforter to feel less lofty when unpacked?

Yes, a comforter may feel less lofty when it has summer compressed during transport. To restore volume, shake it gently and let it air out in a dry, ventilated room. The down will thus gradually be able to regain its natural loft and softness.

How to store a down comforter when not in use?

Before storing your comforter, make sure it is perfectly dry and well ventilated. Preferably store it in a breathable storage bag, away from humidity. Avoid compressing it permanently in a vacuum bag in order to preserve the swelling and the quality of its natural filling .

Is a down comforter suitable for people with feather allergies?

Our comforters contain natural duck down and feathers. If you have a proven allergy to feathers or down, we recommend that you avoid these fillings and choose Bedding made of other materials. OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 certification does not guarantee the absence of allergic reactions.
